Headnets sold in the US use Insect Shield, a treatment that is chemically bonded to the polyester mesh fibers.
The concentration of treatment used in the Headnets remains effective through at least 25 washes. To get the most life out of your Headnet,
- Hand wash with mild soap
- Rinse thoroughly
- Air dry (do not machine dry)
Following these steps will help preserve the effectiveness of the Insect Shield treatment.
