Our pyramid-shaped mosquito shelters (standard and Nano) and standard mosquito headnets use a mesh which has 500 holes per square inch (80 holes per square centimeter). This allows for excellent airflow, and is ideal for use in warmer climates.
However, it is not fine enough to offer protection against no-see-ums / sandflies / midges - this requires a mesh with at least 1200 holes per square inch (190 holes per square centimeter)
As of January 2022, we will offer the Ultra-Mesh Headnet. With its 2000 holes per square inch (310 holes per square centimeter), it is perfect for use in cooler climate zones where nearly-invisible bugs are common.
