Sea to Summit liners do not have side zippers. This is because our liners are designed to be lightweight and compact – a full-length zipper would add both bulk and weight, reducing the packability that makes our liners successful.
We’ve tested other closure systems (including hook-and-loop), but none have proved suitable for our liner fabrics, nor easy to operate in the dark.
If you’re worried about getting out of a liner at night, since 2024 our Reactor, Reactor Extreme, Reactor Fleece, and Breeze Mummy Liners now feature:
- Shoulder openings for your arms
- A drawcord footbox opening for your feet
If you need to get up during the night, you can slide your feet out through the footbox opening and your arms out through the shoulder openings and 'wear' the liner.
