Is there a speed or length of travel limit when using the Traveller Soft Rack/Pack Rack Inflatable Rood Rack?

There is no practical speed limit for either the Pack Racks or the Traveller Soft Racks – however, for driving at any speed it is essential to have a bow line from the front of the watercraft to the towing loop or front bumper of the vehicle, and for faster driving, it is essential to have a stern line from the rear of the watercraft to the towing loop or rear bumper of the vehicle (in addition to adequate tie-downs to secure the load to the racks).

There are no limits to the length of travel that either rack system is suitable for – correctly deployed, there is no reason why a longer journey should not be undertaken with either rack system. Restrictions to be aware of:

  • The racks should not be left on vehicles exposed to strong sunlight for multiple days. The grippy surface of the Pack Racks/Soft Racks may stick to the clear coat of the vehicle’s paint and damage it.
  • The attachment straps of the racks will wick moisture into the interior of the vehicle in heavier rain.
